Painting For the Exhibition
Journal Entry: Mon Jun 2, 2008, 2:28 PM
Mood: Peaceful
The exhibition starts on the 29th of July, so I have about 4 weeks. I am doing two oil paintings for the exhibition, I really want to get them finished in good time. So now I want to work on them for the next two weeks, and hope to have them complete and dry after the fourth week.
I'm not an experienced oil painter, I feel like I am pushing myself to my limits, which is not a bad thing. So I intend to spend more time with the paintings now rather than becoming fast and prone to mistakes.
So, I hope that in two weeks time I will be able to add these paintings to my gallery.
They were a robot family, Mother Robot, Father Robot, Boy Robot and Girl Robot, and they lived in a human neighbourhood, christmas was confusing for the Robot family, at christmas people give and receive gifts, or often money. The Robots thought about this for a long time and they decided that they would give each other money, after a short conversation they decided to give each other twenty pounds. So they found a jar and each member of the Robot family put 5 pounds into the jar. Good they all agreed that christmas was going to be very successful. Christmas morning arrived, time to give and receive gifts, Father Robot got the jar with the twenty pounds inside it and he gave it to Mother Robot and said "merry Christmas Mother Robot". Mother robot said thankyou and she gave the jar with the twenty pounds inside it to Boy Robot, "Thankyou" said Boy Robot, and he gave the jar with the twenty pounds inside it to girl robot, and she was delighted. Only one person has not been given a gift, so she gave the jar with the twenty pounds inside it to Father Robot. Wonderful, what a very successful Christmas. Father Robot took the money from the jar and he gave five pounds to Mother Robot, five pounds to Boy Robot and five pounds to Girl Robot. "and five pounds for me" said Father Robot.
WEDNESDAY I take my pictures to the exhibition tomorrow, but what will I gain from this weekend? I don't know, I hope to meet some friendly people, please god let me meet somebody that can laugh with me! Friday is the preview, I hope that they have food, I always appreciate some food. Some of my friends will be there, good, but I feel that I should be talking to some of the other artists, I'm sure my friends don't mind, maybe they will be glad, xa xa! I just hope that all goes well, nothing can go wrong really. I hope that they have food.
THURSDAY I went to the site of the exhibition this evening, it is in a huge colossal size barn, the beams that the barn is contracted with are a meter thick at least. I walked in and said hello, there was only two guys in there, I said "Wow! What a building!" quite loudly, it seems that I have infinite confidence when I am happy. It is a beautiful place, it is a big old English house and gardens. When I found the village it was dark already, those old building look so very spooky in the dark without street lights, I thought that I had arrived at Count Dracula's castle, xa xa xa. I enjoyed driving to the house through the countryside in the dark, there are no lights and the roads twist and turn with little warning, and I speed up the roads at 60mph, so many heart attacks. So they hang the pictures tomorrow and tomorrow evening we have the preview - with food I hope.
